I'm a longtime patient in Dr Park's practice and I must admit that I jokingly express love for him whenever I undergo a procedure because his treatments greatly improve the quality of my life. I suffer from acute pain issues and his office is a safe place for me. Chronic pain patients often endure additional pain during specialist appointments at the hands of uncaring physicians. That is not the case with Dr Park, as he takes the requisite time to listen before he verifies your condition with diagnostic tests and physical examination. My orthopedic doctor often tells me that he trusts Dr Park to treat his mother and I would do the same. Additionally, Cecilia is always happy to greet and care for his patients and the coordination of all procedures has always been seamless. He's literally the only doctor whom I trust near my spine!

I had a spinal bulge on L4/L5 , couldn't sit for long. Dr Park, looked at the MRI and said, just go walking. I told him I couldn't sit , and he said "Don't sit". I told him I work in IT and have to sit all day in front of a computer. He said "Then retire!" and sent me off. He didn't seem to care about my condition. He wasn't sure where the L5 versus S1 was on the MRI either.

This doctor failed to address the issue I went to see him for, and you will have to hand hold his assistant to get her to submit MRI requests and who knows what. I went in to address a pinched nerve that n my back that was causing me severe pain. I needed immediate attention simce I could not perform my job due to shooting nerve pain starting from my neck, accords my shoulder, down my arm and to my finger tips causing numbness. He ordered an MRI, I waited one week before calling the MRI office….they had not received it. Called Parks office, asked what happened, they hadn’t sent it. He ordered a second MRi, went through the exact same experience. After the second, he sent me to a specialist. Taking about passing the buck and avoiding responsibilities let alone caring at all. When I asked this doctor what would cause the pain, his response was “go to church, ask Jesus”. So I did. Guess what Dr. Parks, the response I got was “Ask a professional, that’s why I gave the gift of education”. Now that last bit wasn’t an actual quote but you can understand why I don’t trust this doctor or his assistant with my health, or life. I highly recommend going to another specialist, even if you have to wait a little longer.Dr Parks, thanks for never returning my phone call, or did your assistant forget to tell you….again?

This doctor failed to address the issue I went to see him for, and I had to hand hold his assistant to get her to submit both MRI requests. I went in to address a pinched nerve in my back that was causing me severe pain. I needed immediate attention since I could not perform my job due to shooting nerve pain starting from my neck, across my shoulder, down my arm and to my finger tips causing numbness. He ordered an MRI, I waited one week before calling the MRI office....they had not received it. Called Park's office, asked what happened, they hadn't sent it. He ordered a second MRi, went through the exact same experience. After the second MRI he sent me to a specialist. Taking about passing the buck and failing to address the issue. When I asked this doctor what could have caused the pain, his response was "go to church, ask Jesus". So I did. Guess what Dr. Parks, the response I got was "Ask a professional, that's what I gave the gift of education for". Dr. Park is one of the best. He’s very specialized, has helped me with my lower back injury. My husband who had 3 years of pain and went to multiple doctors and they could not help him until Dr. Park. My husband is back to himself and able to use his hands again since he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis

Dr. Park is a wonderful physician who takes the time to address his patients with kindness and expertise. His approach is refreshing. I've seen him over a period of three years for issues with my spine, hips and neuropathy in my arms. He has a wholistic approach - that is, he doesn't suggest any invasive options unless you've tried things like physical therapy, diet, exercise, weight loss, stress reduction techniques, in tandem. If you need to have a guided injection, which I did twice, the process is professional and easy. The staff at the surgical day center love him and have good things to say. My two injections provided a lot of relief, along with physical therapy. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Michael Park knew what he was doing. He told me what was wrong with my back (which I already knew). He offered me physical therapy and also (reluctantly) gave me a prescription for a back brace to wear when I am working and want support. He didn't try to push any medication on me. I like him and I think he is a very good doctor. What I DID NOT like was the wait - which was over an hour. At one point he came out and said "Who's next?" He spotted a man who came in after me - and he obviously recognized the man - he said "I'll take this guy" and the two walked into the exam room. I was supposed to be next. Because of his tardiness, I had to cancel my next appointment for the day. So while I think he is an excellent doctor, I would strongly suggest you allow extra time when you see him. I would definitely go back to Dr. Park. There is free parking. The office is clean. Office staff was efficient.

Doctor Park is who I see. He not only does backs as I use to need help with but now,as I have gotten older, 66 years, my neck is giving me problems from time to time. It has been over 3 years of no pain in my neck since last time I saw him and now I am in need again. He is a great doctor who listens. I feel very safe with him.I have seen him from time to time since about 1983. Always with great results. Also,I am not sure when this move occurred but he has his office at 5700 Telegraph in Oakland now which is attached to the Alta bates Imaging center so there is free parking for a huge amount of people around that one block area. I understand he is no longer on Webster street. Thank You, Chris
