Any electrical company who would drill into a conduit to repair water leaking into an inverter should not be licensed to do electrical work! It is the quickest, easiest way to possibly give the water an exit. I have never seen any practice endorsed by the National Electric Code!!!!!!! A company whose profits are put above safety and common electrical sense is likely to shortcut installations in every way for profits. As a Master Electrician I am curious as to how could an electrician drill into conduit without knowing what this practice could do to conductors in conduit. What is even worse is that this company whose workers are represented by the IBEW, that has a Code of Excellence would have employees who would disagree with common sense safe electrical practices in doing such a irresponsible "repair."
So strange . I had a zoom appointment for Solar on Thursday . They were nice and informative . Although warned me against installing solar on my existing tile roof of 30 years ( that could last 50 ) . I requested a savings comparison with electric ( which every other offer this has been included ) the tech seemed a little baffled . It is now Tuesday ( Monday was technically a holiday President's Day ) and still no written proposal . I called , what I think was a call center and they said they would escalate it . What a waste of their time to go through an hour or so zoom with no follow through .
Baker installed solar panels in a very professional manner and their craftsmanship was excellent. The friendly roofing team Pedro, Sergio,Humberto, Carlos M, Luis, Eduardo, Gustavo,Roman, Alberto and Jose G did a nice job with everything. The electricians also were hard working and professional, the conduit looks nice and everything is well laid out. Jon, Steven, Jenny and George were also all friendly and helpful. Edward the start up tech was knowledgeable, friendly and professional and he quickly got everything up and running. Dakota the PM and Albert in Sales were both positive, professional and responsive. I would recommend Baker to anyone considering solar.
Their drivers are horrible, had on riding less than 2 ft on my bumper with my kids in the back of my car. The driver was a complete a*** Would never hire a company with employees like this. Update: I did call and report this to your business answering service a few minutes after it happened. It was in Temecula.
So far it’s only been ok. Got the solar on but now they say our electrical panel was never permitted by the City. Seems like they might have considered checking that before they put 30k of panels on our roof. So panels on and can’t connect. Just a big bummer. They called and told us to fix it. What do you think??? Plus 2 weeks later after everyone ( contractors) left the porta potty is still in my yard. I’m sure my neighbors love it as much as we do.
Had powerwalls and EV outlet installed yesterday and today. The team was Dustin and Doug, later joined by Ryan for about an hour or 2. Dustin and I had a personality conflict from the start when we realized our install visions differed. I requested powerwalls to be installed as high as possible so I could utilized as much bottom wall as possible. This has been discussed extensively with the sales person however there was a recent regulation change requiring 3 more feet of wall space. He suggested an alternate wall which I said "I'm not in love with that idea since I'm getting a water softener on that wall."He responded that might have to learn to love it and I said no I don't. He found another spot which worked for both of us. I was initially told that I could bring 6 circuits per powerwall then on the day of install I was told I could bring 4-8. Another conflict that was resolved when Nick "the boss" arrived. We settled on circuits that I had deemed critical. Day 2. He left a critical circuit needed for the alarm system and said the microwave was marked instead. He then proceeded to tell me "this was set in stone yesterday and I can't make changes causing more delays". I requested for Dustin to be removed from my home and put the circuits back as they were. His boss then tried to say let him finish the batteries and sometime else will do the EV plug later. Needless to say that was not acceptable. He had already expressed his frustration with having to route the EV wires through the attic which was in the initial scope of work. After all was said and done, he did not move the important circuit for the alarm. WTF. That was the issue that caused the bitter disagreement that morning. I called Nick who had him to move that circuit. It took about 20 minutes. Seriously, why didn't he just move the damn circuit this morning when I pointed out that the circuits had obviously been mislabeled. Why be obstinate?
AC conked out last night just in time to enjoy sleeping in 90 degree heat. Woke up sweating (pun intended) about having to have an HVAC repair person come out and find the problem ASAP. Checked yelp and Baker Electric responded quickly and said they'd have someone 4 - 8pm. I was bummed and was going to look elsewhere. They called back and said they had someone in the area that would be within the hour. Ryan showed up in about 30 minutes. Friendly, professional, and efficient. He found the problem (2 possibly) and gave me options. Problem fixed about 20 minutes after he showed up. No one wants to spend money on things like AC electronics, but the price wasn't too bad to have cool air again. Thank you Baker for your response and for sending Ryan.
i have to say i was extremely satisfied with eric , he took the time to explain everything were i could understand it, i was very friendly and ...
Great service. And tech was very informative during his service call answered all my questions.
Right from the first phone call Baker Electric was professional. I had an appointment for an estimate on my furnace the next day. I received a text with a picture and info on who was coming out. Curtis showed up masked and ready to investigate. He was polite and gave me a quote on the spot. Two technicians that arrived the next day were also masked and did an amazing job on a very difficult installation. They were clean, courteous and explained everything every step of the way. I would definitely reccomend them.
