Easy going quick and efficient. I’m horrible with names but the stylist (young blonde woman) did a nice job and put up with my indecisiveness. Also the premise of the haircut being a recipe is cool so it is replicable is nice. It ran $35 for a cut.

I left the shop smelling good and feeling great. Sarah gave a great cut. As you already know, it's hard to find a great barber but she delivered such a great cut. I was asked a lot of questions and she explained somethings I didn't even know. Super friendly and I felt great there. Did you know they 3D print their combs? They don't hurt and gives them a great cutting edge. Definitely coming back. Thanks Sarah

Came back for my next cut and I received the same level of service. Lauren and her team provided me top notch service and even helped me give my last style a twist. Same procedure, gather notes on how my hair was cut and took pictures. Now I have 2 different styles that I can go with next time around. Lauren and the team have you covered. They knew what week and days of the month I can prebook for my pre-Thanksgiving and pre-Christmas haircuts. Not going anywhere else, they have the details down which makes it accommodating and easy.

Not accommodating at all, opened late and can't take me in because the appoints started coming in for the next time slot, and I was a a little late. I even contacted them prior to let them know. Unprofessional and I would not recommend dealing with the headache.

This place has gone to shit. This used to be my go to when they hired people who knew what they were doing. Not sure what happened to all the talent but this place isn't what it used to be. I've never had a hair cut so bad that I had to get up and leave before the girl could finish. I guess it's a good indication of how skillful the person is when she herself looked like a raggedy mess. Never going back. This place is trash now.

They cut my beard off.I asked for a fade down from the hair cut and the barber simply used a #2 all the way around my face. I know she knew she had messed up as I didn't get charged extra for the trim. That's basically being left with stubble after manicuring my beard growth for years. It will take months to be back to where it was. This was two days before the start of a new career. My confidence is shot and the normal comfort I get from stroking my beard is gone too. My beard is part of my identity.Hair cut was of unacceptable and unprofessional quality. No fading whatsoever, there was a clear line between each clipper #. I had to fade it myself, cutting it even shorter, after I got home.No masks were worn, all the hair in the floor wasn't swept up, it was just swept against the wall. The chairs don't have arms feel super cheep.Oh, and their fancy system is simply writing down what clippers and shapes they use and where on your head for next time (which there won't be for me) . Not some fancy scanning procedure.

Moving around a lot in my 35 years, I have been to many run-of-the-mill barber shops/hair salons across California, none of which I could stick with for more than about 6-9 months. Good thing I decided to settle in Orange County because in November 2019, I found a keeper. I first came here because of the Yelp reviews and advertised concept of "hairkut engineering." I was Best Man in my friend's wedding and wanted something stylish and new for the pictures. The first part I enjoyed was how chill and casual everyone was, down to chat about just random life stuff. If we happen to talk about work, cool, but I've experienced so much forced small talk in the form of "What do you do for work? How long have you done it? Do you like it?" I'm a Portfolio Manager in commercial banking/real estate...I find it interesting, but can easily tell when others don't lol. My favorite aspect of Danckut's is how my "kut" has evolved over the last 1.5 years. Everyone here clearly knows how to style hair. However, they are confident enough here to offer their own suggestions and personal touches, which I have enjoyed and received compliments on. That, and I never have to worry about an uneven fade again. The only time someone didn't quite know how to make one aspect of my "kut" exact, help was immediately provided to achieve precision. The courtesy alone of not knowing 100% how to get something right is a great virtue in itself, because I've had many haircuts elsewhere done with "confidence" only to result in disaster. Scheduling is easy and I always receive a courtesy email along with text messages the night before and 2 hours before my appointment. All-in-all, I believe Danckut's is a pioneer in the barber shop/hair salon industry and provides a strong business model that others should follow.
