When we contacted them, we made it clear that we were looking for part time care only. The Director of Client Services came to interview us, took a lot of our time (and theirs), had us sign all their forms, etc., and most importantly, led us to believe they had staff to fill our needs. When it came time for them to send a caregiver to meet us, the caregiver didn't show, and didn't call. They apologized, said her father got sick and had been rushed to the hospital (that person never came back). The second time, they sent a different person - again, no show, no call. When I called the Director, she said that the woman's car had broken down and she didn't have our number to call to let us know. This time, not even an apology from HCP. They never contacted us again. So unprofessional in so many ways. Who sends someone out without giving them the client's phone number to call if they can't make it? Who neglects to apologize for this happening TWICE? Who makes clients believe they can fill a position, then has no one, thereby wasting a ton of the client's time (when they could have been looking elsewhere)? HomeCare Professionals, that's who. To top it off, the Director sent me a string of emails with articles on how stressful it is to be a caregiver - oh the irony. Each email was like a slap in the face after the way they'd treated us. These people were dishonest and inconsiderate and did more harm than good for us. Buyer beware.
