On my first visit I had digital x-rays and a thorough consultation and exam. I was interested in a nutritional consultation so I completed a food diary. I was able to get adjusted on my first visit. On my second visit I had a very educational consultation about my x-rays and food diary. I was able to have a chiropractic treatment plan made for me and nutritional advice. On the nutritional end, I was able to purchase Standard Process nutritional powder to add to my daily routine. I’m very happy with my physical results from both the adjustments and the Standard Process. Dr Diane Gerken and Dr Donald Gerken are genuinely here to help you feel better and live your best life.

I came in without fully understanding the damage that I had to my back and Dr. Gerken fully developed a total picture of what was going on with my spinal system, came up with a plan that was structured through several steps to maximize pain, reduction, and realignment along with a strengthening and follow-up path for me to follow. If I could recommend them higher than five stars I would,;highly recommend coming to see the doctor, even if you have seen others.

Words can't express how incredibly grateful we are that we found Dr. Donald and Dr. Diane! I was on the Standard Process website to see where I could buy some vitamins in San Diego and I stumbled across Gerken Family Chiropractic. I called and was immediately impressed at how kind, professional, and knowledgeable they seemed on the phone. So we came in the following week to pick up our vitamins and met Dr. Donald and Dr. Diane and they were even more welcoming and amazing in person!

I had my one year old son with me and mentioned that he has been dealing with some eczema issues. The fact that I hadn't even signed up for an appointment with them made me so surprised at how much care, concern, and time they gave me discussing my son's background, nutrition and skin struggles! We arranged a time where I could come in for a full nutritional consultation and I left feeling so positive with their recommendations. Within a couple weeks, I had already started to see improvement!

Fast forward to last week, my son woke up with a very red, swollen, puffy eye. I took him to see his pediatrician, but she wasn't available on such short notice. So a new pediatrician looked at his eye quickly and gave us a 2 week treatment plan that just didn't feel right. It seemed extreme and I knew there was a good chance there would be some long-term negative side effects that came with it. I asked if there was any other option to heal his eye with a gentler approach but they said, "No. This is serious and it's the only option. If you don't do this, he'll likely be admitted to the hospital where things will be much much worse." Everything seemed rushed and I was scared in that moment because of course, I always want to do what is best for my son's health.

So I reached out to Gerken Family Chiropractic and gave them the same information. I asked if there was any possible chance they could take a look at my son's eye and give me a second opinion. Even on such short notice, they told my husband and I to come right in. Dr. Donald took so much time to check him out and you could really tell how much he cared. I appreciated how he was gentle and friendly with my son, and even had him smiling with the games he played so he could look at his eyes, ears, and body to get the answers he needed. He gave me a completely different diagnosis and a treatment plan that aligned much more with an approach I was comfortable with.

Although we had just recently met Dr. Donald, we decided to go with our gut and trust him, instead of the medical advice we were previously given. With his many many years of experience, you could tell that he is so knowledgeable and I felt really good about following his advice. We have been following it to a T, exactly how he recommended, and only 3 DAYS later, and his eye is already healed!

I'm shocked and so so grateful for Gerken Family Chiropractic. It's so obvious how much they care and they have truly been a God-send to me and my family. Of course, I have been talking non-stop to my family about how wonderful Dr. Donald and Dr. Diane are, so my parents already signed up for their first Chiropractic appointments as well. To no surprise, they felt so welcomed, comfortable and taken care of, too! They have been dealing with some back pain and health issues themselves, so I'm glad they're in good hands.
