I had a really poor experience with Kalan. On my second appointment with her I booked in for a full blonding (balayage) and the result was a strange combination of blonde tones, the front being platinum blonde almost silver and the mid sections were so warm, they were verging on orange. I pointed it out at the end of my appointment but noticed it was even worse when I got home so I contacted Kalan and asked back it be fixed so the colour was the same throughout. Kalan said it just needed a toner which I questioned as I’ve had this issue once before when the dye wasn’t left to process for long enough and it was fixed by the hairdresser adding more colour. When I asked if this was needed Kalan just said “no” and didn’t elaborate and also seemed to struggle to explain why the colour was so different across my hair. As I thought, the toner made little difference and I was still unhappy with my hair. Despite me telling Kalan this she would barely respond to me or my concerns and offered no solutions other than to leave and see how it washed out. I had to convince her to add some foils in to try fix the issue. She became really passive aggressive and stopped speaking to me at this point and roughly sectioned my hair to add three small foils in, clearly extremely annoyed she had to spend any longer on me and my hair. After she left the dye in for only 15 mins she roughly dragged a towel through my hair to remove and sprayed it with water. I was shocked she wasn’t even bothered washing it out of my hair, I had to go home and do it myself as it was sticky and matted. I had another 1.5 hours left in my appointment so time shouldn’t have been an issue, more a lack of understanding or care to fix the problem she created. Kalan offered no solution other than to not get this service next time, she should have let me know if it wasn’t going to give me the results I clearly asked. I have never been treated so poorly by a hairdresser but I have always gone to reputable salons with skilled stylists in the past and it’s clear there is a lack of experience, care and professionalism here. I paid nearly $300 to be so unhappy with the outcome after two appointments and I’ll have to pay near enough that again to have another stylist fix it. Since it’s not a professional salon there is is no one else to speak to who will help or care if it doesn’t turn out how you asked, or even be remotely apologetic for the time and money wasted. I would have liked to have been aware of this before booking so I could caution anyone else looking for a professional experience, a skilled result and to be treated with respect.

Kalan provides excellent customer service. She is very knowledgeable and is very pleasant to talk to. She always provides all the information during the process as well as before hand and what she suggests is best to get the results you want! She also gives any and all after hair care advice to help keep hair healthy.
Kalan is very personal and her services are always amazing and even better end results! Will be going back very soon!! :)
