“David Wickes has done many projects, large and small, around our house. Like many homes in the area, age has caused everything in our house, including floors, walls, and door openings, to go slightly off-kilter. David is always keenly aware of the special issues that an older home presents when repairs or renovations are involved. He replaced our ugly, drafty, metal front door with a beautiful triple pane glass and wood door; he patiently figured out how to hang the new door properly in our slanted door opening. He also replaced a slipshod folding closet door that had been installed during an earlier renovation with a set of bespoke solid wood doors. David seems to take great joy in tracking down the perfect crystal doorknob or time-period appropriate moulding to make our house look its best. (He is also good at reparing damage inflicted on that beautiful moulding by exuberant puppies). I highly recommend David!“

“I had a small set of stairs blocking the access door to the crawl space of my house. The last time the crawl space had to be accessed literally had to break the stairs apart and put back together.So I called Mr. Handyman and they sent Ryan over. He was absolutely amazing!!! He was able to find a way to safely secure my stairs so that they could be easily removed to access the crawlspace whenever needed. Which is a huge deal for me and just provides me so much peace of mind!Ryan was super friendly and incredibly clean. He even brought his own doormat and had covers for his shoes. Ryan explained his plan for the job to me very clearly, got the materials needed and got everything done quickly.Super affordable and he told me they offer tons of other services. Also, Madison the person who helped me schedule everything has the cheeriest voice (like you will smile when you hear her voice) and she was so nice and very helpful!Overall, a very positive experience. John rebuilt several pillars and facings, and refurbished those less damaged by a roof leak (repaired beforehand). He also repainted the porch and hung a new light fixture.
