“really nice and super knowledgeable coaches. they really care for your progress as a student. I especially appreciate how much effort Charlie and Kate put into creating a strong sense of community there.“
“Our child started at 3 years to the day. Mr. Ryan, Mr. Fernandez, and all of the other instructors have been incredibly welcoming and supportive. Seven months in, and the progress is not only noticeable, but incredibly enjoyable to witness and talk through with our kid.“
“Nothing but amazing things to say about Mr Hassett and what he has built. My jiujitsu game has improved drastically since joining a short year and a half ago. Clean, professional and a treasure trove of knowledge.“

I am thankful every single day since then that I discovered Aikido. More than that I am thankful that I landed at this dojo. Aikido can seem daunting in the beginning, it is physically challenging and the techniques may not seem as straight forward as other martial arts popular in America. That is one reason people place a lot of emphasis on the community here. Everyone at this dojo wants to see you succeed no matter your age, gender, body type, level of athleticism or anything else. At the end of the day Aikido is you vs. yourself. Everyone at this dojo recognizes that they have had challenges to overcome in their training. In turn we respect the challenges other beginners will be faced with. All anyone needs to start training here is the willingness to show respect to the art, the dojo and their peers.Sensei Perna's dedication to Aikido is inspiring. He leads by example and teaches without ego. In some circles Aikido has a reputation for being performative, more art than martial. But here Sensei Perna and all the other instructors make certain that the martial art you are learning will have practical application in today's world if it were ever necessary. To that end some of the techniques have been modified over the years to fit scenarios that are more likely to occur in our time. When O Sensei developed Aikido over a 100 years ago it was an innovation at the time. I think he would be happy to see continued innovation so that Aikido can remain relevant as a martial art in today's world.“
“Wonderful place to build your kid's focus and confidence! My teenager has been there for 3 years and he's a quiet kid but he loves sharing his new moves with me and his grandparents and it helps us engage with him at this age. It has built his confidence at school and walking around the city. Sensei is a great role model, professional and family focused. I highly recommend Karate Kickers with no question.“
“I enthusiastically endorse Brnich Karate in Deptford, NJ. Embarking on the adult classes trial initially left me uncertain, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flexible schedule, convenient location, exceptional instructors, and welcoming atmosphere surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend this establishment.“
“Great atmosphere for all ages learning martial arts. Great leadership to teach all aspects of martial arts and respect.“
“Pope Karate Institute is no doubt the greatest martial arts and physical training facility in the tristate area. Not only does their training curriculum cater to physical fitness, but mental wellness as well, teaching discipline, values and building character.“
“This journey, if you choose to take it, is a life changing one.For me, getting into the Intermediate class is when I really got the high of jiu-jitsu, becuase thats where essentially all sparring happens and you really start getting in touch with the art, the people, and the work. Really loved it but I got a concussion during a very intense standing spar (not very common in this sport). Being a grad student, this was really bad, but Phil and the team listened to what happened and helped me out.“
“If you're not doing your kids birthday parties at Best of the Best, you're missing out. We just had our 6 year olds bday there and it was 1000 times better than any bounce house or trampoline park. Kru Jon and Sensei Jon had every kid engaged and included. The parents were blown away by how organized things were and they loved not having to follow their kids all over a huge park. 10/10, would do it again in a heartbeat.Note to parents... it's also more affordable. Which also helps.“
“Master Ju and his entire team have brought out confidence and strength in our child that we never knew existed.“
“I started training with Philadelphia JiuJitsu this past summer and it has been a great experience so far. Damon is extremely knowledgeable with over 30 years experience and has a great passion for teaching. What is unique about Philadelphia JiuJitsu is that it is more than a jiujitsu school as it incorporates many different martial arts. There is judo, wrestling, aikido, knife and stick fighting, and practical self-defense techniques. So you can come to a class that focuses on what you are interested in. The price is fair, the instructors are knowledgeable and whole gym is welcoming so if you are looking into learning martial arts and self defense Philadelphia jiujitsu is worth a visit“
“Sensei John is a great mentor. Awesome group of students too! This is a great program for your kids to meet new friends and learn valuable life skills beyond just Karate“

“Shotokan Karate Academy is a great place to take your children to learn martial arts. The sensei takes his time to teach his students. Nice, clean, and friendly environment.“
“Andy is patient and kind. Very passionate about his work and about helping people. He meets everyone wherever they are in their physical abilities or headspace, and can always find a way to make Tai chi and qigong accessible. He is knowledgeable far beyond cookie-cutter, scripted instruction, always able to explain not only how to move but why. You would be hard-pressed to find such an authentic teacher elsewhere.“
“It has been a great opportunity to introduce this to my child. This has been helping my child with focus and discipline. I love the way the staff cares about their students. And the effort they put into each and every children. Self defense is such an important skill to have esp when they're young and facing bullying at school. I would recommend this to any parents.“
“A great place for families and to learn and experience martial arts for beginners up.“

“Very welcoming atmosphere and Sensei Fran makes you feel like family . She is teaching kids respect and discipline along with self defense. I only have good things to say about this place!“
“Sensai Irene was very thorough and courteous. We signed our son up for the trial period and we're hoping he sticks with it after our local studio closed last month. Only downside is the classes are shorter than we're used to. They're only 35 minutes long, but we'll see what happens. Too early to tell if he'll stick with it, but it seemed like a great environment so far.“
“I love this place! I must admit before coming here I was bit of skeptic but as time passed all of my concerns vanished! I love the fact that the staff is very attentive and family oriented. My son is extremely shy around unfamiliar people but he has continued to blossom each time he attends and has built friendships which I absolutely love for him! They are very hands on ensuring that everyone excels and no one feels left out! I never felt more welcomed ! A Stellar place overall! Thanks master dyer & Mackenzie ✨??“
“This gym is fantastic, filled with wonderful people. Whether you aspire to be a fighter or simply want a hobby to keep fit, this gym offers everything. Head coach Jake and his team of coach’s and fighters are incredibly supportive, always willing to answer questions and provide tips. I've been training here for just over a month, and I can't imagine starting my martial arts journey anywhere else.“
“Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Very patient and thorough while they are teaching. My 5 year old son loves it!!! I was really nervous on who to choose but I am so thankful we chose Yi’s Karate.“
