“Recently purchased a home from MI homes (new construction) that used installed building solutions for insulation. According to build plans attic is supposed to be R49 or roughly 16 inches of blown in insulation. Had a home inspector out that was measuring 4-8 inches in areas and everything was very unlevel. Unsure how this was approved or anyone could honestly write R49 on the card and believe it. Did insulation just disappear from the attic? MI homes is refusing to do anything about it, but maybe the actual installer will back their product and fix the issue?Update: They did reach out and offer to remedy the situation. Had someone out to do a quick inspection and blew in some more insulation. Much appreciated.“
