“I’ve been going to Hawaii Judo Academy for a few months now & it’s been quite the fun experience! Sensei Joel & everyone there has been so welcoming & accommodating to my friends & I! I haven’t committed to an actual martial art since HS & I’m glad I was recommended to this place by the Mercado Family! I’m motivated to keep learning & branch out to the other classes they offer there one day! Judo has been a new constant in my life & I thank Hawaii Judo Academy, my brothers, Aaron & Josh, everyone in the Beginner Class, & Sensei Joel for making this an amazing new lifestyle experience for me! Mahalo!“

“Aikido has been very interesting for the my 9yo and 11yo. They started last October and have been learning and enjoying. They made friends with good kids and look forward to going twice a week. Two months into aikido, my 11yo flew over his handle bars of the scooter because there was a crack in the cement. I was sure by the way he fell that he cracked his head. I ran toward him and he got up. Not a scratch. He did an aikido roll. From practicing, it was instinct to tuck his head and roll. Instead of going to the ER he had a powerful testimony to tell all his fellow students, family and friends. Thank you TAO!“
“Did a drop in while traveling for work. Treated like family as soon as I walked in greeted with a fist pump and taught like I was a student that had been training with them for years. Highly recommend this gym 10 out of 10“
“A quiet Nichiren Buddhist sect temple. Related to the larger temple up by Oahu Country Club. Dojo for martial arts. Presently no resident priest. Well maintained with a huge beautiful bodhi tree in back.“
“We love Tenri. This is a great dojo with very patient but firm instruction. The classes are run in a very orderly fashion. Sensei Chow is very cognizant of current COVID developments so you can be assured your children's safety is carefully managed. Stop by and visit the dojo and see for yourself how well-run and how skilled and happy the students are. These are very good indicators of a great dojo and great instruction. We entrust Tenri with our 4 children and highly recommend Hawaii Tenri Judo to all our friends.“
“While on vavaction in Honolulu, i had a great visit at Pearl city judo for class. Thank you! Diane Tamai Jackson“
“My wife and I had the pleasure of attending a 2 day seminar this past weekend and got to train with Bruno Malfacine and Gezary Matuda, 2 world class Jiu Jitsu athletes and instructors. The level of instruction was incredible! Mahalo to Professor Rexie and his wife Renee for putting this together and making us feel welcomed. As a fellow bjj gym owner I can say their vibe is genuinely warm, supportive, respectful, and inspiring and that is a testament to Professor Rexie as I believe leadership starts at the top and benefits all other instructors and students. The students here were also very helpful and welcoming and they have a high number of black belts and upper belts that train here. I look forward to coming back and training with everyone at Alliance. Thanks for having us! ??“

“its a amazing feeling knowing that you are getting trained by a first place in the 2007 No Gi world championships. Not anyone can just get hold that title. It take dedication and its take a lot of passion. Eric Goo is one the top 5 best instructor in the world. Two thumbs up!! must join his academy! .“
“Sensei Aaron & Senpai Joy are amazing! We've been with them for a few years now and they are very kind, hard working, and knowledgable people. In the dojo, it's not all about perfection... it's about learning core values and doing your best. They spend more time teaching about character than anything else and that's what I want my children to learn. Is Good character & strong moral values. I don't care how well they can do karate or how fast they can move up in ranks - I want to see them learn to have integrity and grow to be a good human! Sensei Aaron and Senpai Joy care about the children!“
