I have been a customer of the Davey Tree Expert Company since they acquired my old tree company Kerns Brothers Tree Service ca. 2016. Davey is a company has done a high-quality work in every single contract. Their prices are higher than most smaller companies in northern Delaware. However, the high quality of the work is well worth it considering in this business low-quality work can result in demise of living organisms. Mark Ware is an extremely intelligent arborist who instantly assessed all of the problems on my property and was able to give me a same-day quote for all the work he recommended.I ended up retaining Davey to prune and medicate two trees, chop 4 trees, and grind the stumps of 3 trees. I signed the contract on 8/28 and by the afternoon of 9/18 all of the work was completed.The first thing to be done was the pruning and chopping (on 8/30, two days after I signed the contract). A large group of men came out on that day, I want to say ... 8? It was a lot. There was a lot of standing around going on, and it seemed a little excessive for the amount of work that actually needed to be done, but they executed the job exactly as promised and anticipated.A couple days later (without warning) an employee came to medicate the two trees that needed it. He left me a pamphlet on the door letting me know that he had come by.The stump-grinding phase of the project took a little bit longer to execute, probably because someone from the gas company first needed to verify that no underground lines would be disrupted. Mark told me on a Friday that someone would be out the following Monday, and that's exactly what happened.My only complaint is I wish I was notified in advance of each date and time that someone was visiting my property. I have a dog that we let loose in the backyard, and folks were entering without me knowing. It's a good thing she doesn't bite.I did appreciate that there is an option to pay your bill online without additional fees. Does anyone actually use checks anymore?Overall, I have no real complaints and plan to use Davey for the follow-up treatments that my Maple and Dogwood will require.

Davey Tree Company has worked with our property for a few years. Jason from the Wilmington De location was our arborist. He immediately knew what needed to be done to help our trees with trimming and pruning.In the Fall of 2022 we had Jason visit our property again to talk about our lawn care for the Spring 2023.Once again his recommendations worked and our yard looks fantastic.Recently, the crew came again to complete a Spring Cleaning and installed a small pine tree near our patio.
