We were looking for a new front door and updated windows for our home. A friend recommended Mission Millworks. The showroom was recently updated and they have many samples to look at along with catalogs to go through. They work with all the top window and door vendors. We were given several options and prices of different products and different types of material and availability. Grady and Tony are very personable and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions and concerns. From start to finish we had a great experience working with them. I highly recommend this company.

Mission Millworks is open to the public and not a trade-only shop. As lay people, our first experience was excellent. The second not so excellent. 3 stars splits the difference. The first time was a custom double front door. The salesperson was patient and spent an hour with us asking questions about style preferences and measurements. Mission Millworks was not doing the installation but they came to the house and doublechecked measurements. During production they called and said having 4 glass panes as we specified was too much and 3 would look better. They were right and I was glad they called. Total cost (ten years ago) was $1,600. The second experience was a $2,000 sliding door. They outsource sliding doors to a company called TM Cobb. Very few questions were asked about measurements other than how wide/tall is the rough opening. In hindsight I wish they had asked the jamb width and if it was being installed on a subfloor. If those questions had been asked I would have made adjustments. When we received the door Mission Millworks did cut it down to fit the jamb and I appreciate their efforts. However, it was still the wrong height and somewhere along the line at TM Cobb an "upgrade" had been issued to change the hardware (different from what was in MM's gallery) to a different style that made it aesthetically impossible to move the height to fit our house. Mission Millworks refused to interface with the TM Cobb factory about the hardware change. Other than the off measurements we liked it so we checked with another custom door supplier in Pasadena to see if it was possible to buy another TM Cobb door that would fit our house. He said that although they were certified dealers of TM Cobb he would prefer not to work with them because of bad past experiences. Go figure. I went to Mission Millworks based on one good experience and didn't check with other local dealers. I did not do the consumer research necessary. Zero stars for me!

I've got a 1921 home with very unique details. Larry Lee knows his stuff! I've done a lot of historic research for our renovations, but he added a whole other level of detail. A great resource. The windows are stunning. They were completed a couple weeks early. They inspected everything before the windows were delivered to the house. They answered all my questions and addressed any concerns. Friendly, Knowledgable, Professional & Responsive. I will definitely use them again.
