“It was 12-23-23. We needed a hero. A different plumber had replaced our sewer lateral. During a 3 day period in which 6" of rain fell with the trenches still open, the sewer lateral fell apart. (I know, right?) Sewage was flowing into the trench instead of to the city sewer. Our plumber was INCOMMUNICADO, so we stopped using the drains, set up a camp toilet in the backyard, and started calling other plumbers. The 4th plumber who answered the phone was Mel of Sartain Plumbing. He stayed and did not give up. He came in on Saturday and was back on Monday all day plus part of Tuesday. We had sinks backing up and toilet not working, and it was NOT EASY to figure out where the problem was, but he persisted to try and was very pleasant and informative. He fixed it all!!
