I can’t say enough about TMAX. After an exhaustive search of martial arts schools in the area, I wanted to find a place that would be a great place for my 4 and 6 year olds for not only taekwondo, but most importantly discipline and respect.Honestly, there are not many schools that would take on this age… because it’s hard to do.Master Lee, Master Mulen, Master Tabby and all the assistant instructors are amazing at keeping this age group engaged, fun and active. I have already seen the confidence, coordination and respect improve with my kids in a short amount of time.Looking forward to the future!
Both of our children take the Little Tiger class twice a week and it's wonderful. Master Lee is exceptional and has a gift with the kids. He knows exactly when to push and when to use humor. The kids adore him. They are learning confidence, discipline and self-control. I highly recommend.
I did a lot of Taekwondo in my youth (black belt, demonstration team, competing, judging competitions), so I know firsthand how great of a martial art it is, with its health benefits (very well balanced with lots of cardio, stretching, and strength training) and mental training (confidence, focus, self defense etc.) Naturally I wanted my kids to experience all of it as well, so I went in search of a good studio in SGV when they were mere toddlers. We tried out a couple of other studios before landing at TMAX, and after many years of working with Master Jonny Lee and his crew, I can say with confidence that TMAX is a great studio, and one I can enthusiastically recommend to others at all levels of training. Master Lee actually knows Taekwondo, is passionate about teaching it (including teaching his instructors how to teach it), and genuinely wants to have a positive influence on his student's physical and mental health in the long run. TMAX has my (rarely bestowed) stamp of approval!
