Just picked up a bridesmaid dress I had altered and they did a fantastic job! I paid $55 (FYI, they are cash only!!!) for hemming on two layers. Parking can be limited if you come at a busy time of day, but I dropped off at midday on a Saturday and had no trouble and didn't even have to wait. They even steamed my (very wrinkly) dress for me!
*CASH ONLY*This is my second time coming to La Mesa Alterations for hemming. The first time I went, I brought 5 pants and 1 dress and they were ready in 1 week. The second time, I brought in 2 pants and 2 dresses and it only took 4 days. The second time, I brought in 2 pants and 2 dresses and it only took 4 days. I went as walk-in both times-- there either wasn't a wait or just 1 other person before me. It's a tiny mom and pop shop that's pretty easy to miss so keep a look out when you're driving. It has 1 ADA parking and only a handful of parking right up front. The store shares a parking lot with a mini mart and 1 other business in between. I didn't have a problem finding a spot. Inside, there's 1 dressing room and a small stage with a mirror where they pin/do measurements. Long was the person who helped me and she was so kind and patient! She takes the time to make sure everything is straight and even before she marks for hemming. Pricing is affordable compared to other places in the area. The most expensive piece of clothing I paid was $40 for a 2-layered silk dress. I paid around $10-$15 for each pair of pants. I will continue to support this small business for their affordable pricing and great service!
