Roy is an amazing artist. I came to him with a concept and he turned around the perfect piece fairly quickly and was able to make adjustments leading up and day of. He is patient, focused, and dedicated to the quality of his work. I scoured artist portfolios across the entire Bay Area until I came across his and knew he was the one for this piece, and so glad he was willing to work with me. I can't say enough good things about him. Spent quite a few hours at the parlor over two sessions and the vibe of the studio is relaxed and staff is friendly and family-like. Also got a new nose hoop on my way out of the studio and they helped me with the switch and it was quick and easy. They do offer premium numbing creams for tattoos, if that's helpful to you. Thank you, Roy!!

I made an appointment on Google to get two neck dermals (vampire kiss), and whoever responded was super nice. When I came in, the shop was clean and spacious. There's not a ton of parking though, especially when in my case, a huge group of college kids came in to get piercings together. I did have to wait a little bit, but no big deal. Kim, who was the one that did my dermals is cool. We didn't talk a bunch, but I really appreciate her taking her time to make sure the placement was exactly where I wanted before she started. She said this was the first time she saw/done this placement, and I think that was exciting for both of us. She was also open to answering my questions (I always like to learn more from the artists/professionals I hire about their craft), and she was even thoughtful enough to check in with me after the first one to see how I was doing. While it wasn't necessary, it really did show that she cares about her client's comfort. Because I'm unfamiliar with how dermals heal (I've never done surface piercings before), I actually came back about two weeks later for her to look at one of them since it was looking a bit angry. She was very nice, checked it out, and reassured me it was healing just fine. I needed this because apparently, the bruising from neck piercings get pretty gnarly, and it kinda worried me a bit since I've definitely seen horrific piercing infections before on other people. Now, almost a year later, it's still looking amazing, and I get so many compliments on it. I would definitely love to come in to do a jewelry change one of these days to upgrade from the clear gems. Also VERY reasonable pricing for quality work, unlike some of the shops in Berkeley and Oakland that charge stupid amounts for even simple piercings.

Was recommended to come here by locals for piercings, they say that it's a little more personalized and better care. I walked in on a Saturday and it was busy, I just inquired about the pricing of piercings and wanted to get a helix/cartilage piercing. The wait was a little long just even to look at the jewelry. It looked pretty good but I just inquired before deciding to get a piercing.
