Nice selection of native plants, in good shape. It's not a very service oriented place—they're only open a few hours on Fridays, not much signage, it's a cash business, and their inventory online isn't really up to date. However, this is reflected in their low prices, which made it worth the hassle to me. Also they had healthy plants with new growth on them which is what matters most to me. It has the vibe of a place that sells to the trade or experienced gardeners. I thought it was a good find, but kind of like a hidden/rough gem.
This place is awesome! They have a great selection of healthy plants and a wide variety of manzanitas. The staff are really nice and the customers were really helpful with advice too. You can tell people who come here are passionate about native plants. They take Zelle in addition to cash and check.
East Bay Wilds is a California native plant gardener's dream! That is, if you can find anything you're looking for. Look at the inventory online before you go, but know it's not god's word because once you get to the nursery, it's a lawless land. If Paul is there, you're in luck! He can point you in any direction you want to go. Otherwise, Godspeed. The directional letters online lead you nowhere, and if they say it's in stock, it's probably not there. Many pots aren't labeled. If they are, check your tags carefully because they reuse pots and whatever's on the pot might not actually reflect it's contents.
