Ben captured the most stunning photos of our engagement. My fiancé found him online after speaking to multiple photographers in the area who were either unresponsive or unreasonably expensive. Ben was both responsive and reasonably priced, offering a package that included the surprise proposal and a mini session after to capture our genuine glow in the minutes following the exciting milestone in our relationship. He was very communicative and flexible in scheduling, so much so that he kindly took time during his wife's birthday (on Christmas Eve) to capture this momentous occasion in our lives. Ben's photos tell the whole story, from our walk on the beach when I was unaware of what was to come, to the proposal and the sheer bliss we were experiencing during the mini session. We can't say enough good about Ben and his skills as a photographer. He has taken our family photos twice now and has done a great job each time. He's prompt, reliable, responds quickly to communications. He works really well with children, who can get crabby, and teens who can be youthfully exuberant, and people like my husband and I, who don't like having our photo taken. He seems magically able to capture moments we didn't even know went on. We can only imagine the photos he could take for a wedding. We cannot more highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.

My family was hoping to have a professional take great photos of us for our Christmas card. We haven’t been in the same zip code for awhile so it was important to get it done whilst we vacationed in the Carmel area. I looked up local photographers and Ben led the pack with glowing 5 Star reviews. Ben communicated immediately after I emailed him and after we set the location, I had to change it at the last minute due to a phone call one of my family members needed to be on. Ben said “no problem” - he is so easy to work with. The photos he took were excellent and, in fact, we are having a hard time deciding which one to use! My boys have a short attention span and Ben’s pacing was perfect. He’s a pro! Also we received the photos via an online link in 3 days!
