Working with the respiratory team after a diagnosis of asthma and COPD with increasing shortness of breath, I was able to improve my breathing function and get back to hiking and all the activities I love to do. “I am impressed on their discharge process. The Social Workers & Case Manager follow through until after discharge. They make sure that the patient and family has support at home, making sure that patients are safe with their loved ones or caregiver at their home to try prevent patients to bounce back to the hospital. The SWs & CM have constant communication with the family/caregiver during the discharge process to ensure that patient/family have what they need at their home. “I suffered a fairly serious shoulder injury while skiing last February (2022). I could barely move my arm due to pain/stiffness. MRI showed moderate damage to rotator cuff and surrounding tissue. Post surgery, after ~four weeks in a sling, I could barely raise my arm - extremely limited range of motion and significant loss of muscle strength. I was concerned that I would never fully recover the use of my arm, which is a problem for a very active person. After ~four months of PT with Jordan at Select Physical Therapy, I was just released with almost 100% of my prior range of motion and a noticeable increase in muscle strength to the point where I have returned to my normal active lifestyle. Jordan is a very capable, thoughtful, and well educated Physical Therapist who is largely responsible for my quick recovery from a fairly serious injury. His plan of care was progressive, well coordinated with my doctor's orders, and tailored to my exact needs.
