“I've been learning guitar here since December of 2022. I initially chose Edmonton Guitar Music School due to my work schedule. Shift work makes taking up any sort of scheduled activity very difficult. The way the adult classes are structured is perfect for anyone with a weird schedule. It is so convenient that I can show up on a Tuesday one week and a Friday the next week without feeling like I've missed anything. The environment is friendly, open, and inviting. Sara, Mim, Eva, Tommaso, Matt, and Kamil are all lovely people, and they are all so nice. The atmosphere is great and I always feel happy stepping through the door.Matt and Kamil must be magic, because they can have a group of people, all at different skill/knowledge levels, in one class and still somehow make the class work for everyone. They pay attention to every student, and you never feel like you're being left behind or that you're not getting the attention you need. The group classes are also great for making friends.Matt and Kamil are amazing at their job. Teaching appears to be second nature to them. Before I started here, I knew about 4 chords and how to awkwardly down pick. I've learned so much since, all thanks to them.As far as I'm concerned, this is the only place to learn guitar in Edmonton and I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone.“
“The gift of guitar lessons with Billy is a most valued one to give. The recipient has shown remarkable progress in a short time having never picked up a guitar before. Recommend Billy as a highly qualified stellar guitarist teacher!“
“Myhre’s Music was recommended to me by my violin teacher and my experience was thoroughly enjoyable! From the moment my family and I entered, we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were then introduced to Byron Myhre who very patiently took the time, appropriately 2 hours, to look at and play different violins. He had a great sense of humour and made it fun for my family as well. Byron was there for questions but also gave me ample time to try the violins on my own which I appreciated. We also met his wife who was also very lovely. So, thank you very much for making purchasing my first violin such a pleasant one and I highly recommend this family business!“
“Excellent place for learning everything about Musical theatre with quality instructors and wonderful people to work with!Lots of fun for kids and everyone! I've taken the adult class and have also been fortunate enough to perform in some of their shows. Best in Edmonton!!“
“Key Mobile is great! I love having the piano instructor come to us. Jonathan is encouraging and great with our three kids. They are learning alot in their first year.“
“Tan's is THE place to go for expert repairs and honest advice. Offers a friendly low pressure environment to newbie string players and seasoned pros alike.Edit: I recently brought my bass back in for yet another repair (different issue and totally my fault - Eric's first repair remains very stable). I needed the instrument back quickly for a gig, and Eric was very obliging and accommodating. I got my instrument back in record time and at a very reasonable price. I would have been hooped if not for Tans Violins!“
“Friendly owner, you must call to book a time to visit. I don't know about stringed instruments but there is a good selection and he is knowledgeable.“
“Exceptional music store with a killer variety of instruments, pedals, and other gear. Needed an obscure fishmann resonator pickup. They had it in stock and held it for me, and saved the show. 10/10“
“Both Jake and Mat are great to work with. Respect the patience for someone new to studio work like me. Thanks guys!“
